Description
The TDR90 is used for prelocate cable faults utilizing the following methods: TDR, Arc reflection, Three-ply Impulse current reflection or transient analysis. The unit is available as a stand-alone, or can be integrated into the Cable Test Vans & Systems. Using the TDR90 for prelocation significantly decreases fault locate times by reducing the number of surges required to prelocate. Consequently this reduces the number of surges required to pinpoint. The major benefit is the reduction of the number of surges required to pinpoint on service aged cables. It automatic gives a direct reading in meters to the fault distance. The TDR90 is your prime tool in the battle to quickly find your faults. It eliminates the time consuming and damaging process of repeatedly surging your cable in an effort to find faults.
The unit allows the operator to select the best prelocation technique based on the characteristics of the fault. The tested waveform and cursor offsets can sequence stored in the instrument, also allows recall of previously stored traces and superimposition of a stored trace on an active trace with the TDR90 finding traces simultaneously.

TMCU90 is the convergence components of the high-voltage pulse, the pressure pulse and low-viltage pulse measuring. It directly affects the signal processing apparatus for the measurement accuracy, stability and the probability of success. Central control unit in the high-pressure filter unit can filter out the glitch of high-voltage pulse, so that high-voltage pulse becomes smooth, and the point of failure to form a stable arc, extending the arc, but also to reduce the high voltage pulse interference to the trace waveform analyzer and signal acquisition records. Overvoltage protection unit in addition to protecting the TDR90 from the impact of high-voltage pulse, and the important parts of the sampling, measuring the pulse output, input interaction interface circuit.
TMCU90 is a connection device used to connect TDR90 and surge generator, in order to achieve high resistance and intermittent fault pre-location. Through the use of pulse generator and the fault point at the central controller of the blocking filter, the system creates a flashover. The high impedance fault flashover will temporarily transformed into low-impedance fault. In this way, the fault can generate a reflection, and easily stored in TDR90 cable fault tester. By comparing the pre-flashover and flashover trajectory in the process of trajectory to the fault distance can be clearly demonstrated.
